Creating an inclusive world means preparing our youth to think and act with empathy and openness to change. We all have a part to play, and for Pavan Bhatia, this meant starting a company, Genwe, to deliver on this mission.

In April 2020, the height of the pandemic, Pavan said goodbye to his corporate HR career to create a social impact venture for youths in India and globally.

After 25 years with PepsiCo in senior Human Resources roles globally, Pavan has jumped into the startup world. He aims to create a more inclusive world by connecting teenagers of different socio-economic backgrounds.

He has worked in India, China, Thailand and the USA in his 25 year PepsiCo career. Prior to Dubai, Pavan was the SVP Global Talent Acquisition & Deployment for PepsiCo, based in Purchase, New York. Prior to his shift to entrepreneurship, Pavan was Senior Vice President & CHRO for AMENA Sector based in Dubai.

Pavan is passionate about Talent Management and Culture. In his various roles, Pavan has always looked at HR as a function that can enable the business. He believes that HR is a profit centre and can play a big role in creating shareholder value.

Pavan is from India. He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Delhi University and Master’s degrees in Human Resources from the Xavier’s Institute India.
