Since April 2017, in this newly created role, Urs focuses on innovative ideas to bring human performance in Novartis to the next level. This includes Mindfulness and Sustainable High Impact tools & strategies to positively and sustainably impact the brains and bodies of their associates.

Urs joined Novartis in September 2005 as Head of HR for Technical Research & Development (TRD), moved to Head of HR for Technical Operations and spent almost 8 years as Head of HR for the AMAC region. Before he joined Novartis he worked in various roles in HR in different industries and countries. Urs received his business degree from the University of Hohenheim in Germany and did his Ph.D. in Industrial and Organisational Psychology in Hohenheim as well. He is married, has 2 adult kids and lives in Germany. He is a ski-instructor, loves working in the garden and has a passion for soccer.
