As an essential service with a global, distributed workforce, making sure employees go home safely each day and stay well is a top priority for Toll Group. The safety and wellbeing of employees has always been critical, but now more than ever, due to the threat of COVID-19.

The focus on safety is part of a broader cultural transformation for Toll since the start of the year. As the Chief HR Officer, Vikram has been working alongside the MD and Leadership Team to create a unified culture across the organisation.

He shares some thoughts on:

  • Leader-led culture transformation, with teamwork and accountability as key values

  • Creating a safe, relevant and intrinsically motivating workplace

  • Setting the wellbeing and mental health agenda for the organisation
