There are no overnight success stories in improved organisational culture, structure and adoption of technology, but COVID-19 certainly has accelerated the progress for Dairy Farm. For a traditional brick-and-mortar company like Dairy Farm, the need to adapt quickly to the impacts of the pandemic became a true test of its change journey which started in 2017.

Martin Cerullo, who holds a dual role as a Group Talent Director and HR Director for the IKEA franchise, has a lot to share on these topics.

  • Digitalisation of customer and employee experiences, such as platforms to drive communications and loyalty.

  • Shifting structures and reallocating resources in an agile way.

  • Enhancing employee experience by valuing safety and well-being.
